SLAMMIN JAMMIN PARTY STARTER

By Tracey Beaver via Facebook

This recipe will make an average skillet full.
Preparation time is about 30 minutes; with 20 of those minutes for cooking.

You will need (but not limited to):

spray butter
3 oz. Worcestershire (or steak sauce diluted with water)
8 oz. mushrooms (raw or canned)
2 bell peppers (any color but I like red and yellow for color!)
1 medium onion
1 lb. sausage link (16 oz)
1/2 lb. ground meat (i.e. beef, turkey, etc.)

*= To taste:
*salt
*pepper
*garlic powder
*additional toppings
*salad dressing (i.e. ranch, blue cheese, etc.)
*sour cream
*salsa

1 cup shredded cheese (i.e .cheddar, mozzarella, etc.)
6 oz. wing sauce (there are several brands available now)
Package of crackers (i.e. Chicken Biscuits, Ritz, etc.) AND/OR bag of dipping chips (i.e. Frito's Scoops, tortilla chips, etc.)

Directions:

1. Spray frying pan with Spray butter. Over medium heat, cube sausage, bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms, and place in pan.
Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking until all is tender.

2. Add ground meat, Worcestershire, seasonings and continue to cook on medium heat until ground meat is cooked thoroughly. Turn down to simmer for about 5 - 10 minutes.

3. Top with shredded cheese and simmer until cheese has melted about medium way.
(it will continue to melt after you turn the heat off!) Turn heat off.

4. Drizzle Wing sauce over mixture and serve from skillet or move mixture to you favorite party tray.
Serve Crackers or chips on side or in another bowl.
Serve sour cream, salad dressing, or salsa on side as a dip!

*Note: I will post the picture that goes with this recipe as soon as possible. (darn slow internet connection. lol)
