My Influenster Reviews:

I'm a member of a great site called Influenster. It's a site where you can review products and other things. And you in turn, raise your online reputation (or, influence, if you will). You can also do surveys and such to try to qualify to test various products for free (and you get to keep the product(s) you test). And, you get badges for doing various tasks. The products you get, come in what Influenster calls a "Vox Box".

All in all, it's a great site. :) If you decide to sign up (which currently you have to request an invite to join), look me up (Joy Underwood). :)

My Palmolive Fresh Infusions Review (October 24, 2012):

Below is a picture of a box that I received for free (to test and review) from Influenster on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. It has 3 bottles of Palmolive's new line of dish-washing liquid called "Palmolive Fresh Infusions". It currently comes in three scents: Ginger White Tea, Lemon Thyme, and Lime Basil. They all smell pretty good. I like the Ginger White Tea the best though.
I also received 5 coupons for $1.50 off of the product. It's available at Target (only online in a bundle of 3) for $8.97, and Walmart for $2.96 each (online and in store).

The information card that came with the bottles, suggested that I keep one for myself, and share the others. So, I kept the Ginger White Tea, and gave the other two to my mom and one of my great uncles. My mom and great uncle are supposed to let me know what they think of it, but I haven't heard anything from them about it yet. I will try to remember to post their thoughts about the product here when they tell me what they think of it. I also gave each of them one coupon from the 5 that were given to me. I gave another coupon to a friend, and I still have two left.

Now for my thoughts on the product-

Looks- I really like the bottles they come in. They're elegant in the design of the bottle, and in the design of the labels. Well, as elegant as a bottle of dish-washing liquid can be anyway. lol

Smell- I'll be honest. I wasn't fond of the Lime Basil scent (which is why I was willing to give that one away). I'm not sure why, but the smell just didn't set well with me.

The Lemon Thyme smells good. It has a nice clean, fresh scent.

The Ginger White Tea also smells good. But it took a little bit for me to like it at first. I had just woke up when my husband brought me the box, so my nose was a bit stuffy (I have sinus issues). So the scent of that detergent didn't go over too well with me at first. But, after I was a bit more awake, and my nose was working more properly (as well as it could anyway, given my sinus issue), I decided to give the Ginger White Tea another sniff. The scent finally started to grow on me. At first, I was going to give my mom this bottle, and I was going to keep the Lemon Thyme. But, after giving the Ginger White Tea a second chance, I decided to go ahead and keep it. lol
The Ginger White Tea has a bit of an exotic scent to it (which is why I like it). It's hard to describe in words what it smells like. But, I like it enough that I honestly wish I could find a body wash in that scent. lol (hint, hint Palmolive. lol)

Overall, I like what I received. The product cleans well and smells good. I have even set aside my regular dish detergent (that I'm typically VERY dedicated to using) for the time being, so I can give this new line of Palmolive a try. And I must say, I'm not the least bit dissatisfied. :)

I've even been using this new Palmolive to wash my hands with, and it leaves my hands feeling soft and smelling really nice. :) Oh! And one other thing. A little bit goes a long way with this detergent. :)

My Ivory 2-In-1 Body Wash Review (April 28, 2013):

Ivory 2-in-1 Hair & Body Wash

Look what I got in the mail this past Thursday! Another Influenster Vox Box! This one came from Ivory. It's a 2-in-1 hair and body wash, that also has conditioner in it. It smells wonderful! It has a light, clean smell, and not too perfumy.

I just tried it last night (Saturday), and I love it! I'm going to get my husband and daughter to try it as well.

It works great! It left me feeling clean and smelling good.
The only problem I had with it was the bottle. I have petite hands, so it was a bit challenging to hold on to, and squeeze, a large bottle in the shower when it's soaking wet. So I'm sure it's going to be even more challenging for my daughter, whose hands are a little smaller than mine. It shouldn't be a problem for my husband though. lol

If my husband and daughter like it, too, we will start just getting one of these 24 oz. bottles (like the one pictured) instead of spending about $10 or more on each of our own individual types of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. That's a lot of savings. From what I've seen online, this 24 oz. bottle costs anywhere from just a little over $4.00 to almost $5.00. But considering that my husband usually gets his own brand of body wash that alone costs almost $4.00, then another $1- $2.00 on his shampoo, that's not including what I spend on my body wash and shampoo plus conditioner. Between just my husband and I, we spend almost $20 between the two of us just on shampoo, conditioner and body wash. And sometimes our daughter shares ours, sometimes she has her own of each. But just buying this one bottle for all three of us, saves us about $15.00! :)
Influenster also included 3 coupons for 75 cents off of ONE Ivory 2-In-1 Body Wash (excludes trial/travel size). :)

There's another great benefit to this product as well! Having only this one bottle that combines all your usual bath products (shampoo, conditioner and body wash), you're also helping the environment. In my home alone, we usually have about 9 bottles of bath products (shampoo, conditioner and body wash). Reducing ourselves to just this one bottle, will keep more bottles from ending up in a landfill. Thus, helping the Earth and reducing our carbon footprint! It's a win-win! It saves you money and space in your bathroom, while helping our planet! :)
